Forget about what your body looks like or judging its ability, focus on how it performs; the sensation of moving a pencil, the pressure applied, speed, tensing of muscles in your arm, positioning of your body and breathing. This is a starting point for my collobrative performance drawing practice. Drawing together in ways that open new experiences. Finding an equilibrium and flow together.
Afterwards there is heightened awareness and sense of wellbeing. This effect led me to develop techniques of drawing directed towards increasing neurological activity. Drawing as a workout for the brain held in the imagination space of artmaking.
